They are the business. I've worked inside PE-backed portfolio companies, founder-led businesses, and early-stage startups, and I know what each stage demands from a financial leader.
I've served as CFO, COO, and President across a range of businesses — from single-site operators to multi-brand holding companies to PE-backed portfolio companies with institutional boards. That arc covers the full spectrum of what a finance and operations leader actually encounters: building from scratch, scaling through growth, managing through constraint, and positioning for exit. I've sat across from PE sponsors and on production floors with plant managers, and I'm equally fluent in both conversations.
Earlier in my career I founded and operated businesses in specialty finance and e-commerce serving the craft beverage industry — which gave me a vantage point most operators never get: seeing hundreds of businesses through the lens of a capital allocator before ever running one. That pattern recognition is what I bring to every engagement today.
